SHOUSETSU
Some of my favorite Yanagi-centric fanfiction/novel in English and Japanese. Most of them, like, 87% are Kirihara x Yanagi (or Yanagi x Kirihara). Others are Yanagi x Niou, and Troika (Sanada x Yanagi or Yanagi x Yukimura). Maybe later I will add Inui x Yanagi.
I give slight review (summary?) for first 5stories because I really, really like them. Later stories, if I give it ☆ mark then it's special for me, like the author is rather popular or the story really give me feels so you must check them.

Kirihara x Fem!Yanagi. Slight R18 contents. I really like this one that I never get bored no matter how much I reread it. About teenagers and their sexual desire..? (lol). They are just a kid with curiosity and longing of love. This story connected with other story with different pairings, and compared the others, they are secretive with their relationship. They are childish and mature in the same time. Bittersweet love story.
More from this author : I like all works from this author, like continuation of this story, Maybe Definitely or another not-so-happy story titled Bad Romance. General-romance fic like Appropriation, Might Be Found, Untitled, and Victory Spoils are also nice to read.

Kirihara x Yanagi. Slight Sanada x Yanagi and Sanada x Yukimura. Some chapter include R18 and mention of rape. About broken love, maybe? Somehow everyone is at fault, and in the other side everyone is right. Everyone have their dark secret and they are protecting their precious thing with their own way. Sad love story. Still in continuing until now.
More from this author : So far, Like a Strip is my only ultra favorite from this author. But I also like 水面下にて, 渇, and キスアンドクライ.

Compilation of Yanagi-centric drabbles. I can't say much about this one except I LOVE it. It's about Yanagi and his interaction (relationship? development?) with others, mostly Kirihara, Inui, Yukimura, and Sanada. Another bittersweet moments. Thoughtful and nicely written.
More from this author : The author is one of my favorite Yanagi ficcer. She's good at expressing words and write it beautifully. I can't choose one because I like all Yanagi fics made by her. Maybe, Evergreen Stop and a-blocker are my second favorite. Sometimes I refuse to reread her fic titled Analgesic because I know I will end up crying and cursing Akaya (lol).

Kirihara x Yanagi. Slight R18 contents. I just read this several days ago and I can't get it out of my head. About Akaya losing his memory and Yanagi helping him to remember.. sort of. Sad love story. Bring tissues with you or maybe listen to Atobe song, ..Mitai na Arukee while read this. It will give you feels.
More from this author : The author likes Kirihara x Yanagi with Sanada x Yanagi as side pairing. It's always end up with Kirihara x Yanagi, though. Her Kirihara has a really good characterization, in my opinion. Sadly, other than this one, she's only write 3 Yanagi stories. 花と蜜蜂 目次 and ねえ、ちゃんとしよう？ are connected. It's quite good. 花屋物語 is still a draft, but it's not bad to read.

Yanagi x Kirihara. Another bittersweet love story (you know my taste now lol). About Akaya getting injured and the doctor said it's impossible for him to continue playing tennis. Yanagi blame himself for that, but never once Akaya said that it's his fault.

After reading bunch of Yanagi stories, I got some interesting fact.
- In western fandom, it's called YanaKiri or Kinky Pair for Yanagi x Kirihara, while in japan fandom it's called AkaYana or YanaAka.
- In western fandom, YanaKiri (seme!Yanagi) is more popular while in japan fandom it's AkaYana (seme!Akaya) that more popular.
- There are few stories that resemble in japan and western fandom, like 三日間の赤也 with a-blocker and Appropriation with 赤也と柳. It's not exactly same, but somehow the feels is resembling.
- Datapair is more popular in western fandom.
...You see, before I search in pixiv I used to ship YanaKiri and can't stand AkaYana, but now I prefer Akaya as seme than Yanagi (lol).
